Convict King This Avill be tho last night of the f-easoii: The Perth "Daily Herald," in commenting on this performance and play, says 1-"Mocridyne" Avas*1 played again last night at the Bijou Theatre "to a. crowded house.- It is a very stirring drama, and commands the most enthusiastic applause right through. . The staging of this piece is really splendid. The Australian bush scent*, of the first act, the prison scene of thei second, the ship scone of the third, arid the realistic pictures of Freemnntle Harbour and the. old lighthouse in the last, are all fine specimens of the scene-painter's art, and Mr Matthews, the company's artist, is to be honestly com plimented upon his excellent work. The company are' avcll fitted to the pails of tho play, and Mr Taylor and Miss Carringto», as "Moondyne" and the Sister of Mercy respectively, fully sustain their^reputataon as first-class dramatic artists."
