Prior to their departure from Ladysinith, the Mayor presented Mrs Chamberlain with a souvenir of the s;ege, in the shape of a burst shell, hundsomelv mounted.

Mr Chamberlain proposes- to hear confidentially the representative men of both races.
He received at Pretoria addresses of welcome from the Municipality and the Chamber of Commerce, and the Hebrew and Indian Committees.
