A STRANGE DEATH.

GREYMOUTH, October 2

A strange death occurred last- night. Samuel Osbome, at one time known in racing circles, but for some time past employed doing odd work on the wharf, was at. the theatre last, night, apparently slightly under the influence of drink, as he interrupted the performance and was requested to leave. He left quietly and proceeded to his home, where he was shortly afterwards found lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen. Appearances showed that he fell on a large'bowl which, breaking, out a deep gash in the back of his neck, from whicth he died before assistance arrived.
