A STRANGE COINCIDENCE.
THAMES, September 22,
A strange coincidienoe occurred in connection -with the death of two well known residents of the Thamea to-day. In the morning Mr. Henry Gillespie, nged 73, was seized wuth an apoplectic fit and succumbed in a few minutes. The !'ecea<:«'J was associated with several important in dustries, particularly the timber mills. Another old resident, Mr. Samuel Alexander, aged 74, was discussing Mr. (Julespie's sෞ death, and remarked vhat Le might be next, but as hei held the deceased in great respect he would heist hia flag half-mast. Half an ho r later Mr. Alexander was similarly attacked, and died from syncope, so that the same even; ing saw two of the oldest identities of the district being prepared for burial.
