OFF TO SOUTH AFRICA.
HOKITIKA, September 22,
Mi\ R. W. Wade, ,a resident of many yeans standing, and a former" Mayor of the town, chairman of the Harbour Board, deputy official assignee in bankruptcy, captain of the First Westland Rifles, and many other prominent pqsitionis, was farewelled in the Empire Hotel this afternoon prior- to his departure to South Africa-. All prominent citizens were in attendance.
