Camera Club.
In our Saturday's issue we suggested thab the Wanganai Camera Club should, if possible, 'continue the exhibition for one or two days this week, and we are pleased to learn that arrangements have been made whereby the exhibition, -will be open to-day and to-morrow, from 2 to 6 and. 7 to 10 p.m. Several fresh exhibits have been received since the catalogue was ipo-epaied, and will be on view, including a double view of the monument of the famous treaty of Waitangi, every word of which, is clearly visible. Loan CollectionI.—ln! addition to the pictures already referred to, there are several very fine speciment^ of English; work exhibited. Perhaps the best is 252, a beautiful portrait of a round-faced boy, printed on red carbon, which, gives life and warmth to the subject, and) should be carefully noted by our amatetxr friends. We *ttiould have preferred to see it framed without the plush mount. No. 251, a portrait in red carbon of a lady, is not so good, being a little flat and hard. No. 224, "Flight from Pompeii," is a splendid representation of what must be a most beautiful group of statuary. No. 167, "The Little Judge," in carbon, is a striking genre picture, and shows a careful attention to details No. 217, "Fisher Boy," and No. 218, "Fisher Girl," both, in brown carbon, are excellent work, and worth making notes of as to lighting, pose, and simplicity of accessories. We cannot conclude without, congratulatinc the club upon the general excellence of the exhibits, and trust that the splendid work shown by other clubs will tend to broaden the ideas) of our local amateurs, and lead up to the production of similar hsgh-cl«* exUibrtsr for their next exhibition.
