Christ Church Club.
The last meeing for this session of the Christ Church Club Debating Society will take place in the schoolroom) on Thursday evening next, at 8 o'clock. The following strong ministry will occupy the Government benches : Premier and' Minister for Finance, Hon. G. H. Pownall; Minister foir Customs, Hon. G. McCaul; Minister for Education, Hon. L. Scholfield; and Minister for Railways:, Hon. L. Williams. The Premier will move: "That in the opinion of this House the time has arrived when all disabilaities which at present hinder women from sitting a$ members of either of the Houses of Legislature, or from being appointed or elected to any public office or position in the •colony, should be removed, and that with regard to all powers, rights, and duties of citizens absolute equality efocwiild be the law of the land.'' This motion will, no doubt, give rise to an interesihing debate. The Hon. A. W. Mountfort . will lead the Opposition. The meeting will be open to the public and no charge for admission will, be made. Ladies are especially invited to attend.
