First Handicap Hurdles, 2 miles.—Mar* 1. Tim 2, Oannongate 3. Also started: Bellman, Dingo, Commodore, Winsome, Mokomoko, and Sirdar. Won by ten lengths. Bellman and Sirdar fell, an<3 Winsome and Commodore baulked. Time. 4min. 13sec. Dividends. £3 9s and £2 10s.
Avondale Stakes, 4 furiotfgs.—Cordon Rouge 1, Kamo 2. Sans Puer 3. Also started: The Middy. ,Kola. Nip, Hibbington, Agrapus, Merry Soult, Alba Rose : Matua, Te Aroha, Delama, Bonoiana, Lady Annie. Cordon Rouge vras in front for th r, whole journey, and "won by a clear length. Time, 55sec. Sans Puer and Kamo Trere bracketted. Dividends, £4 6s and 10s. A protest againsb the yrinner, on the grounds of interference, was dismissed.
