Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, September 18. Frank Keimevan, a- fireman on the Nairushire (lying at the wharf at Port Chalmers), left the steamer at 9.15 to proceed up town. He had not gone many yards before he fell overboard. Ropes were thrown and a boat launched, but deceased was dead when the body was recovered. At the inquest the jury returned a verdict of accidentally drowned, with a recommendation that life-buoys be kept in readiness along the wharves instead- of at the end. and' that other precautions should be taken.
