CHRISTCHURCH, September 18. Dr. Evans, of Canterbury College, states, in regard to the cablegram that English makers of chemical apparatus invite hiui to formulate specific charges against an English instrument, that the charges ho made in his letter to the Board of Governors indicated by the makeas were quite specific enough. He reHeerates that German, goods are cheaper and better than English ones, and says that some EngKish makers sell foreign-made instruments as coming from England.
