Per Press Association. CHRISTOHUROH, September 18. At a meeting of the New Zealand Cricket Council to-night matters in connection with the visit of Lord Hiawke's team Avere considered, l'lie action of the Auckland Association in withdrawing itai .guarantee towards the "expenses of the tour was brought uip. A motion was carried regretting the attitude taken up by tlie Auckland! Association, and it was resolved that if the Association persisted in its .action tlie Cfouneil^s only course would be to arrange other matches _to make up the amount of the,guarantee. ■-'
