PLAYERS 282 FOR SIX WICKETS.
Received September 16, 12.12 p.m. LONDON, September 15. The Players had lost six wickets for 282 when stumps were dlrawn. The weather was dull, but there was a very good wicket, and a large attendance. Quaife gave an easy catch to Hopkins at mid-oai.—Four for 220, Iremonger and Braund were then associated. The latter knocked up 15, when Saunders bowled him.—Five for 282. Hinst had just joined Iremonger when the latter played one into Hopkins' hands at square-leg. The retiring batsman bib wel'!.
