Pur Press Association. ' INVERCARGILL, September 15. At a meeting of the Provincial Council of { the Farmers' Union, it was resolved that tne Government instruct their veterinarians to attend all cases when called upon, and to institute a seal© of charges, to go to> the Government; that manures be supplied on a guaranteed analysis; that an analyst bip procured for that purpose, also to analyse I the soils. It was resolved to protest against co-operative labour on Government or local bodies' works as. being too costly. It was j further resolved to ta*e steps to secure a reduction in the freight on live stock by rail to Canterbury, and shortening the time of transit. It was stated that the freight was the same as 20 years ago—namely, £6 per track.
