Hockey.
The final match for the Wanganui Association's shield is the chief topic in hockey cirouiles just now. The teams engaged—Eastown Railway and Wanganui —are the winners of the Saturday and Thursday competitions respectively, and tliTs match decides the championship for 1902. As stated yesterday, the match will be played on the Racecourse ground at 4 c/citook' to-morrow afternoon. . Mr. George Carver will referee, and Messrs. C. Goldsbury and Kolloy. will act as line umpires. Messrs. Olliver and! Haworth will be placed! behind the goals. Thanks to the courtesy- of the Eastown Club— the present holders—the shield will be on view at Mr. Goss's sho©, next Collier's, toj-day and this evening. The following team will represent Easttown : Mahoney, Griffiths, Pearce, Mc■L,arin, Delves, Gurr, — olmes, Campbell, Piper, Hogan, and McKenzie. The Wanganui 'Club will be represented by the following,: Perrett, Gillies, Armstrong, J. Goss, Ferry, Ryan, Harvey, Can-oil, W. Goss, Loftus, and G. Larking.
