MASTERTON NEWS.

MASTERTON, September 9,

The Park Committee decided to erect a band rotunda in the centre of the Park as a memorial of the King's Coronation. This would deprive the public" of their sote recreation ground for footabll, sports, etc. The local press is strongly condemning the proposal, and public feeling has been aroused. A petition is being largely signed to the Council to disallow the recommendation.

Mr Magnusson, assistant Town Cferk, has resigned his appointment.
