VETERANS.

WELLINGTON, September 9. The first annual meeting of delegates from the branches of the New Zealand Association of Veterans was held in the City Council Chambers. It was resolved that a uniform should be adopted for memebrs of the Association, and that all members be enrolled to form -& third line of defence for the colony. A resolution was passed favouring the establishment of three Veterans' Homes in the Auckland, Taranaki, and Wellington districts.
