OHRISTCHURCH, August 17,

About 185 officers and men o£ the Ninth Contiingei>it, who returned by the Orient, have now reported at the quarantine camp at Bottle Lake, and all have been vaccinated, and Dr. Sfmes, Health Officer, has new decided to discharge those who have been successfully vaccinated, previous to last Tuesday, and about 40 men go out to-morrow. The men now apear to be quite satisfied with the situation, and are very comfortable, and all invalids are doing well. *v
