The Premier and .party.passed through to-night en route for Auckland, whence he proceEds, after seeing the contingent off, direct by the Tutanekai for Nels&n to attend the Diamond Jubilee there.
On arrival here Mr Seddon. received a cable frojn the Imperial authorities stating that a large order for general produce, mostly oats, for South Africa wotila be placed in New Zealand.
General Baljmgton came ,on to Hawewi to-night with the Hon. 'Mr Seddon, and stayed there, where a banquet is"being tendered to him and Major Bartlett1. Beth will then proceed North to-morrow. The tetal recruits at this centre for the Ninth Contingent to date is 147.
