BUSINESS NOTES.
Mr Brookfield, dentist, returned to Wanganui yesterday, and has resumed practice. Messrs Williams and Harper will sell today at 2.30 p.m., on the site lately occupied by Mr J. Forbes, a splendid lot of timber, iron, doors, windows, etc. There will be no reserve.
Messrs Read Bros, sell at their mart, Ridgway Street, to-morrow at 2 o'clock, on account of a gentleman leaving Wanganui, the whole of his furniture and effects.
On Sunday morning, at 7 o'clock, the Aotea. will make a special trip to Pipiriki, connecting at that point with the Aorere for the upper reaches.
Mr James Hodson, the well-known baker and general storekeeper of Bell and Guyton Streets, has an important advertisement in another column. He announces that, having secured the services of a firstclass baker, he is now in a position to supply bread and small goods of the very best quality. Mr Hodson has a good stock of groceries, which lie sells at the lowest prices.
To-morrow Messrs Hatrick and Co.'s steamer will leave at 7 a.m. on the usual daily excursion to and beyond Pipiriki, embracing all the best of the lovely scenery on the upper reaches. The steamer returns the following day.
