WELLINGTON SELECTIONS FOR THE N.Z. TEAM.
(Per Press Association.) ■ WELLINGTON, August 16. • The Wellington Rugby Union has submitted the names of Wrigley, Wallace, Wood, Meredith, Kelly, Wylie, and Dodd to the selectors of the New Zealand team.
. The representative football match,' Wanganui v. Wairarapa, will be played on the Recreation Ground this afternoon, as Cook's Gardens is unfit for play. Members of the Wanganui team who have not yet obtained their passes and numbers can get same on application to the secretary this morning. Players are particularly requested to note that they must play in tlhe proper uniform, viz., black and blue.jersey and' white knickevs —no other colours. The captain of the local team requests that players will be on the ground at 2.45 p.m. sharp. Both fifteens' will be entertained at dinner this evening at 6 o'clock by the local Union. Yesterday afternoon the Wairarapa team were taken for-a-drive,1 which was most enjoyable, despite the cold weather. .. On the Recreation Ground to-day at 1.30 p.m. sharp the Old Boys will play the Rangitikei junior representative team, which will arrive'by this morning's team. The following will play for the. Old Boys against Rangitikei juniors at 1.30 p.m. to-day on the Rec.: —Full-back, N. Powtnall; .three-quarters, L. Craig, T. Craig, Collins, A. Pownall; half, Mailii ; wing forwards, A. M. Williams and Gibson; forwards, Murray (2), Wilson, A. B. Williams, Dymock, Johns, Mbuntfort.
