(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, August 9. Tho Premier has received the following cable from Oolonel Porter, in command of the Seventh Contingent in South Afr. rica:—"ln doctor's hands from horse accident in the field; nothing serious; the v contingent is at Kroonstadt;-expect to rejoin at Bloemfontein for next trek; most successful engagement; surprised and captured during t|he month—prisoners 51, rifles 50, ammunition 13,000 rounds, waggons 84, carte 37, cattle 4000 horses 300, sheep 1000 forage ariff mealies 70 tons; Boer women and children removed to concentration camps; no fresh casualties and all are well."
