THE WANGANUI ORPHANAGE.
The annual meeting of subscribers was held in St. Paul's classroom yesterday afetrnoon. The Rev. H. R. Dewsbury was voted to the chair. The report of the committee was read by the Rev. R. M. Rybum, and_lhe balance sheets of the committee and trustees by Messrs G. S. Bridge and J. T. Stewart respectively. The report and balance sheets were adopted. It was agreed that the declaration of trust referred to in the report be held over for the present. The regulations presented by the com-' mittee were then discussed and agreed to with a few small additions. Mesdames J. T. Stewart, Griffiths and Empson and Mr G. S. Bridge were elected to fill the vacancies on the committee. Mr J. D. Greig was re-appinted auditor, and a vote of thanks accorded to him for his services in the past. It was agreed to have the regulations, balance sheets and list of subscribers printed, and circulated. A vote of thanks was passed to the retiring office-bearers. The meeting closed with a vote of thanks to the chairman. At the close of the annual meeting Mrs J. T. Stewart was appointed to the chair, Mr G. S. Bridge treasurer, and the Rev. R. M. Rybum secretary.
