ODDFELLOWS' HALL.
SAMSON,
Those who assembled at; the Oddfellow's Hall last evening (and there was a fairly large number) expecting to witness marvellous feats .of strength, were certainly not -disappointed. *" The feats of Samson were ft revelation to the audience. He performed upwards of fifty genuine feats of strength. He not only is physically .strong, but by continuously performing for two hours demonstrated that he has marvellous powers of endurance. lie is without doubt the strongest and most genuine weight lifter ever seen in Wanganui. He is only 5 feet 4| inches in height and weighs list. Saanson was assisted by Mr R. 0. Jarrett, who gave a fine exhibition of Indian club swinging. A'pupil of Mr Jarrett's also took part. Though only 17 years of age and weighing1 Under 7st he lifted a 431b dumb-bell wittt a straight shoulder press. The Lester Brothers gave a very good exhibition of tumbling. During the evening several vocal and instrumental items were rendered. Samson appears at the Oddfellow's Hall again this evening, when doubtless there will be a large attendance.
