WANGANUI RUGBY UNION.
A meeting of the Management Committeo was held at Mr Wray's office last evening, Mr A. I). Thomson being in the chair. A letter was road from Mr Alf. Gray, referee in the Junior match, White Star (Patea) v. T.Y.M.1., on 26th May, reporting two players of the White Star team for serious misconduct on the field. The Secretary of th« White Star Football Club wrote admitting the charges and stated that the Committee of his Club had already taken action in the matter. One of the players complained of had been asked to resign from the Club, the other, a Maori, ivas: only an emergency man, and not a member of the Club, lie regretted that such misconducted should have taken place. After a little discussion it was resolved that the two players should be disqualified from playmrf football until December 31st, 1900. Correspondence was read from the Otago Rugby Union that Wanganui will be kept in view when details of their tour are being arranged. The Wellington Rugby Union wrote stating that owing to the number of its present engagements a visit could not be paid to Wxinganui this season. A letter was received from the Thames Rugby Union re a visit from our representatives while on their trip north. The Seceretaiy was instructed to reply that this Union will endeavour to include a mutch with them. Transfers— The following transfers were granted— Kaierau Football Club, Fred. Lampitt from Junior to Third Class. From Pirate Football Club to Aramoho Football Club, subject to clearance beim' obtained from Pirate Football Club—D! Dustin and A. McGonagle. From Wanganui Football Club to Aramoho Football Flub, subject to clearance being obtained from Wanganui Football Club. The Secretaiy was instructed to inform players applying for a transfer from one Club to another that they must send in with their application a clearance signed by the Secretaiy of the Club from which they desire to be transferee!. The lists of new members sent in by the following fclubs were passed :— Kaierau, Old Boys, T. Y.M.1., White Star, Waitotara and Photo. The Secretary was instructed to writs to the Inspector of Police, asking if two constables could be sent over to the Recreation Ground when required by the Union for the purpose of preventing spectators from crowding on to the field
