Charles Carr's slock 6ales report: — I have to report having held a successful unreserved clearing sale of utock" and farm implements on behalf of Mr Joseph Sailnde're, Railgitikei Line, Awahuri' "(who has sold his farm). The attendance was large, buyers being present from all parts of the coast. Feilding sale, Saturday, 18th inst.—A fair muster of both cattle* and sheep werepenned. The yarding of sheep consisted pnncipa Iy of good shorn hoggeta (or 2toothi), for which there was keen competition. Being the first number of shorn sheep in the market-this season, there was considerable speculation among those pres'eiip os to the price.", thoy woilldWlisi > j&orii 2-tooth 'ewes reached 9s 7d, wethers 9s 6d. There is an unsatisfied demand for all classes of sheep. Pricos nt Mr Saunders' saSe—Forward bullocks, £5 j 2i-year steers, £3 35.; store cows, £2 10s;. yearlings', 38s; daily heifers, £3; porkers, 17s; ewes with lamba, 13s to 14s 2d in the wool; hoggets in wool, 8s 9d to lis; pmpty cull ewes,- 8s 9d j wethers, 13s lid. Feilding sale—Sheep: Shorn 2-tooth ewes, 8s 8d to 9s 7d ; shorn 2-tooth wethers 9s 6d; woolly wethers, 14s; woolly 4-tooth ewes, 14s 4d; fat ewes, 10s to 'l2s ld! hoggets in wool, 9s 6d to lis 7d; ewes with lambs, 9s (poor lot).
