SALVATION ARMY

Per Press Association-. WELLINGTON, November 1. A "Workmen's Hotei," established by the Salvation Army in Wellington for the provision of temporary board and lodging for men at cheap rates, or in return for \?ork done, was opened by the Chief Justice this afternoon. It is the first establishment of the kind in New Zealand. Sir Robert Stout, in his opening address, said the project was practical, like all the work of the Army, and would afford accommodation to a certain class of men without detracting ' from theiv selfreliance. Messrs Fisher, Duthie and Hutcheson, M's.H.R., also spoke, eulogising the work of the Army.
