At the Supreme Court to-day, in Banco, before Mr Justice Connelly, Mr Campbell, on behalf of the Law Society, moved to make absolute an order nisi calling upo.i Charles Edward Madden to show cause why he should not be struck off the roll of barristers and solicitors; The case was adjourned to enable Madden to file alfidavits. In connection with the late action brought against W. H. Conboy by the Coromandel County Council for alleged fraud and conspiracy, but dismissed, the County solicitors have been served with • Wilt for alleged ■wrongful prosecution, claiming £750 damages. The hearing takes place at Auckland on December 4th.
