DRAWING THK SOCIETY'S ELEVENTH BALLOT.
There was a large attendance at the Economic Building Society's meeting last evening to conduct the "eleventh ballot. Mi 1 . H. 0. Peafce was in the chair. Messrs. D. May and John Thorp were appointed scrutineers, and Mrs. Walter Armstrong drew the marbles. The first number drawn was 458. The owner of this share was neither present nor represented by written authority afc the ineeti»}>. The ballot was declared to be forfeited after tha duration of the time requisite, accordiiig to the Society's rules, and ,i further ballot was taken. The successful number was 810, owned by Mr. John Watson, of the Kastown Workshops. Mr. Watson was not present, but having given (,ho required notice, was declared to be entitled to the full amount of £300. The meeting then terminatea.
