I • ♦ ! STOCK EEPOET. Hawera, July 31. The Epmont Farmers' Union, Limited, reports— We held a clearing sale on behalf of Mr James Boddie at his farm on the Mountain Ebad, Normauby, on Friday, the 26th ulfc. The day being fine there was a' good attendance present, but bidding was sloy for the dairy cattle, most of which were in backward condition. The farm wab passed in, not reaching the owner's reserve. We quote— Cows and heifers, £2 10s tg £Q ss; pigs, 3a to £2; hanks and ponies. £2 I§3 to £i los. Our monthly horse fair was held, on Saturday, the 27th ulc, there being rather more than the advertised number of horees entered for sale, some of them being of good quality. The attendance was much larger than usual and bidding brisker, so that the majority of horses changed hands before leaving the. yards. We quote— Draughts, £16 to i!l9;har nes3 horses, £& 10s to £12 ; hacks, £1 11s to £VL 103. There was only a small muster of cattle at Manaia on Wednesday, the 31st ult., thbte being too much snow in the bush for vendors to brins their stock out, so that not a great de&l of business was transacted. We quote— l§ months steerp, 4J2 43 to £2 10s ; weaners mixed, 19a Cd (0 £1 8s 6d ; dairy cows, £S) 3a to £4, 7s' fid. During the past few days yio have placed some large Hues of fat cattle pri< vately.
