WANGANUI A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
A general committed meeting of the above was held at Messrs F. E. Jackson and Co.'s rooms yesterday afternoon. Present— Mossi-s E. A. Campbell (in the chair), Murray, Dempsey, Iliggie, Liffiton, R. Hair, A. Hunter, A. Lees, G. S. i Robertson, A. Higgie, A. Cameron, and | L. Cowen. The Programme Committee brought up the revised programme, whieh, on the motion of the Chairman, seconded by Mr Hunter, was adopted. It was resolved, on the motion of Mr Hair, seconded by Mr Murray, " That the canvassers for speeial prizes be requested to take immediate steps to canvass, and submit the result to the Programme Committee on Saturday, 17th June, and that the Committee bo authorised to award the special prizes and complete and issue the programme." Messrs W. Montgomery, John Stevenson, and John Nixon wero added to the General Committee. On tho motion of Mi-Campboll, socondnd by Mr A. Higgie, Mr J. Abbot was appointed an official canvasser, Mr Eobortson moved, and Mr Hair soconded, "That the Programme Committee bo empowered to make inquiries with a viow to obtaining a good permanent site for the Society's shows, to report at next meeting." The motion was put and carried, and the meeting adjourned sine die.
