« VICTORY FOR PROHIBITIONISTS (Per Unjteo Press Association). Masterton, May 29, The Masterton Licensing Committee election resultnd in the return of four Prohibitionists and one Moderate. The poll was declared amidst great excitement. Five Prohibitionists polled 141, 127, 125, 119, and 113 j whilst the Moderates polled 123, 117, 115, 104, and 93 respectively. It ia expected that most of the hotels in the town will be closed.
