LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
: Wellington, June 13. In the Legislative Council Mr Whitaker announced that the Governor had received six months' leave of absence on private affairs, and intended shortly to leave the colony to take it. The Married Women's Property Act Amendment Bill and Corrupt Practices Act Amendment Bill passed through committee without substantial amendment.
