KILLED IN ACTION

CAPTAIN R. H. GLENDINING. Captain R. H. Glendining, who has been reported killed in action, was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. E. H. Glendining of Waihua. Wairoa, where he was farming until 1940, when he entered Trentham Camp. He was an old boy of Huntly School and Wanganui College, where he was Hoad Prefect and captain of the cricket and football teams. He left Now Zealand in 1941 as a second lieutenant and was promoted to t/captain two months ago. He was attached to a Now Zealand Tank Regiment. He married a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Baird, of Masterton, and is survived by his widow and one son.
