MINIATURE RIFLES COMPETITION SCORES. (“Times-Age” Special.) . The following were the scores in the weekly competition held by the Featherston Miniature Rifles club: ~ J Johnson 99, Mrs Thurston 98, K. McKenzie 96, K. Feast 94. Women’s Division Meeting. At the monthly meeting of the Pahautea branch of the Women s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, Mrs Ross presided over a good attendance of members. A pair of blankets purchased fqr the “Te Kiteroa” Rest Hoffie was shown to the members. Miss Beattie had kindly embroidered the name of the branch on them. , . It was decided to form a sewing circle, arid members were asked to bring to the next meeting tihy clothes suitable for remaking. The competition was won by Mrs Ross, with Mrs McKay second. Miss Frew won the, prize donated by Mrs Corlet for the best pair of boys’ pants. Afternoon tea was provided, the hostesses being Miss Friew. Mrs Bentley and Miss Elbe.
