HOMING PIGEONS
y MASTERTON CLUB SHOWS L KEEN COMPETITION Keen competition was in evidence at weekend shows held by the Masterton Horning Pigeon Club, the judge being Mr W. J. Miller. The results were as follow:— Yearling cocks (14 entries): R. and K. Braggins 1, A. Pinkney 2, A. Pinkney 3, R. and K. Braggins v.h.c., R. & K. Braggins h.c., R. Stewart & Son c. Yearling hens (14 entries): A. Pinkney 1, I. Forrester 2, A. Pinkney 3, A. Pinkney v.h.c., R. and K. Braggins h.c., R. Stewart & Son c. Young cocks (24 entries): I. & W. Steer 1, R. & K. Bieggins 2, A. Pinkney 3, lan Mayes v.h.c., R. Stewart & Son h.c., J. Tilyard c. Young hens (21 entries): R. Stewart & Son 1, lan Mayes 2, W. Steer 3, Don McLachlan v.h.c., lan Mayes h.c., lan Mayes c. The chief positions in the points competition are held as follows:—A. Pinkney, 32 points; R. & K. Braggins, 23 points; lan Mayes, 15 points. The next show will be judged by Mr W. Drury and is for birds which have flown 200 miles.
