DEATHS OF JAPANESE NAVAL OFFICERS INCLUDING REAR-ADMIRAL (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.50 a.m.) NEW YORK, May 21. The Tokio radio announced that Rear-Admiral Terajiro Sato, “the pride of the submarine units,” had been killed in action. His name is included in a list of 84 Japanese naval officers reported killed in action. He has received a posthumous award for distinguished service. The radio added that the men died in battles off the Solomons, Philippines and Dutch East Indies before December, 1943.
