DEATH IN TIMARU

IRISH CENTENARIAN. CLAIMED 114th BIRTHDAY LAST MONTH. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIMARU ,This Day. Patrick Hamilton, who reached what he claimed was his 114th birthday on March 17 last, died last night. Mr Hamilton was born in County Donegal, in Eire, and lived under six British sovereigns. He had been bedridden during the last five years. He came to New Zealand in 1870 and had been a resident of this district ever since.
