AND OTHER PACIFIC BASES ATTACKED WITHOUT LOSS BY AMERICANS LONDON, April 7. In the Central Pacific, American Liberator’ bombers attacked targets on Wake Island. Other planes attacked Ponape in the Eastern Carolines and atolls in the Marshalls still in enemy hands. All the planes -came back.
