The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Moderate westerly winds, tending to north-westerly and freshening tomorrow. Weather becoming fair to fine. Temperatures moderate. FURTHER OUTLOOK: A few scattered showers, more especially in the ranges. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 24 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday, and 30 points for a similar period ended this morning. PHASES OF THE MOON. APRIL.
