STATE THEATRE

“ORCHESTRA WIVES.” Beauty, romance, song and rippling rhythm will be found in the 20th Cen-tury-Fox musical comedy “Orchestra Wives,” which will be shown toi night. The chief roles are taken by George Montgomery, “the trumpet player the cuties rave about,” and Ann Rutherford, who became a “band widow,” Carol Landis, Lynn Bari and Cesar Romero. Catchy tunes are provided by Glenn Miller’s brilliant or-1 chestra. It is a “wife’s-eye” view of the boys who play love songs to the wrong people. It is one of the greatest comedies ever brought to the screen and is produced on an elaborate scale, making altogether excellent entertainment. Patrons should not miss seeing “Orchestra Wives,” and should book their seats early. There are several songs in the comedy which have made sensational hits, including “I’ve got a Gal in Kalamazoo,” “At Last” and “People Like You and Me.”
