A British United Press correspondent says that 40,000 witnessed the hanging in the snow-covered square. The condemned men arrived in four motor-lorries which pulled up under four newly-built gallows. As -the lor-, ries moved away, the four men were left hanging in the air. Their legs twitched for two minutes, after which the crowd surged forward, roaring their approval.
