MASTERTON CLUB. FOURBALL COMPETITION. During the weekend the semi-finals of the fourball competition was played, resulting in wins for C. K. Long and B. Bodie and H. Brickman and D. T. Herbert. These four will play the final game during the coming weekend. The game between Brickman and Herbert and Esau and Candy was a very interesting one, the match finishing at the 21st hole. Esau and Candy played well to their handicaps but their opponents were not to be denied and Brickman, in particular, who played some very fine golf, clinched the game at the 21st with a perfectly flayed 3. This player is one of the most improved players in the club, and with his excellent golfing temperament he should soon become a low handicap player. The other semi-final between Long and Bodie and R. R. and S. E. Burridge was also a very keenly fought match, the game going to the 20th hole before Long and Bodie gained the deciding hole.
