WIDESPREAD RAIDS

CARRIED OUT BY R.A.F. IN BURMA HEAVY DAMAGE DONE. WITHOUT LOSS OF AIRCRAFT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, June 21. The R.A.F. has carried out widespread raids in Burma. At Akyab bombs fell on buildings and dispersed aircraft and targets in the town were machine-gunned. In a sharp attack on an aerodrome in Central Burma bombs burst on a runway and installations and in a further attack at another objective all the bombs fell in the target area, buildings and stores being damaged. Not a single plane was lost in all these operations.
