AXIS SHIPS
TWO SUNK OFF DUTCH COAST CANADIAN PILOT’S FEAT. BRITISH SUCCESSES IN OTHER AREAS. LONDON, June 15. The R.A.F. concentrated its attacks this morning on enemy shipping. A Canadian pilot in a Hudson accounted for two Axis supply vessels off the Dutch coast. Spitfires sank an enemy motor-launch and riddled barges and a motor mine-sweeper with machine-gun bullets. Last night Bostons and Havocs raided aerodromes in occupied territory. Hits were scored on marshalling yards at Abbeville and on a concentration of motor transport near Poix. LIGHTED AIRFIELD OFFERS TARGET IN HOLLAND. (Received This Day, 9.45 a.m.) LONDON, June 15. Fighter Command Bostons and Havocs last night attacked enemy aerodromes in Holland and . Northern France. High explosive and incendia.ry bombs were dropped on a lighted airfield in Holland from which the Germans raid Britain. The planes also bombed marshalling yards at Abbeville and a convoy of motor vehicles at Poix.
