For an act of gallantry seven years ago, Captain P. G. Taylor was'presented yesterday by the GovernorGeneral .Lord Gowrie, with the first George Medal in Australia. The Empire Gallantry Medal originally awarded to Taylor was surrendered by him to be replaced by the George Medal. During the Tasman flight with Kingsford Smith, Taylor crawled on to a wing to repair an engine.
