WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Kopuaranga Women’s Institute was held in the local hall yesterday, when Mrs W. J. Cottle presided over a good attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs C. P. Jarrett and Miss L. Fenemor. A vote of sympathy was passed to Mrs Jarrett and family in their recent bereavement. Mrs J. Brophy offered to donate the necessary potatoes for the potato growing competition. . / Mrs Taplin consented to receive contributions of old rubber and files. It was reported that a parcel of nine articles had been handed in to the Rod Cross Society this month. The competitions resulted as follows:—Best bloom: Mrs T. Hewitt, 1; Mrs Reside, 2; Mrs O’Connor, 3. Shortbread: Mrs Brophy, 1; Miss M. Cottle, 2, and Mrs F .Hewitt, 3. Gingernuts: Mrs Reside, 1; Mrs Taplin, 2; Mrs W. J. Cottle, 3.
