AIRMAN ENTERTAINED PRESENTATION FROM R.S.A. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was an excellent attendance at the Town Hall when the Citizens Dance Committee entertained soldiers on leave. Mr T. Tully acted as M.C. The guest of the evening was Aircraftman Jack Thompson. The Mayor, Mr A. W. Horton, expressed the hope that their guest would soon be able to return to his duties at the local post office, where he had been a popular member of the staff. J , On behalf of the Greytown Returned Services Association, Miss Higginson presented Aircraftman Thompson with a fountain pen and diary from the citizens’ committee. Personal Items. Miss Hitchman, who has recently returned from overseas, will be the speaker at the meeting of the Greytown branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union on Wednesday afternoon. Miss Tully has returned to Waipawa after having spent the school vacation with her mother, Mrs Tully, Senr., Main Street. Nurse Grace Graham, of the Palmerston North Public Hospital staff, was. a week-end visitor to Greytown. i Gunner A. G. Carter and Private W. Brown spent the week-end at their respective homes. Mr and Mrs S. Shedden, Main Street, have returned from a holiday spent at Paraparaumu Beach. TOWN HALL BRILLIANT DRAMA. The programme tonight will be headed by the brilliant story of adventure, “Sante Fe Trail,” in which Errol Flynn, Olivia de Haviland and Raymond Massey have the leading roles. Also shown will be Episode 6 of “Drums of Fu Manchu.”
