PROFESSIONAL BOXING
MULLETT DEFEATS PASCO. IN STIRRING CONTEST. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. In one of the most stirring professional heavyweight. boxing contests seen in Wellington for many years past, Don. Mullett, the 19-year-old Wellington boxer, outpointed Bill Pasco, the Southland veteran, before a crowded audience at the Town Hall last night over 12 rounds. Mullett had the advantage of weight, height and reach, scaling 14st. 121 b. to his opponent’s 13st. 51b., but Pasco counter-balanced these decided advantages by greater ring experience, nimble footwork, and clever ducking and head-weaving.
