POOR VISIBILITY

RESTRICTS AIR ATTACKS ON GERMANY SWEEP OVER CHERBOURG PENINSULA. SMALL ENEMY RAID ON BRITAIN. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, April 20. Today British home-based bombers and fighters were forced to restrict their attacks on German targets because of poor visibility across the Channel. Only one sweep by fighters was carried out, on the Cherbourg Peninsula. All our planes came home. Over this country German bombcarrying fighters dropped bombs on the south coast of England. There were few casualties and some damage was done.
