ST. MATTHEW’S LADIES’ GUILD

ANNUAL MEETING. 1 The annual meeting of the St. Mat-J thew’s Ladies’ Guild was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday afternoon.: Mrs Rich presided in the unavoidable absence of Archdeacon Rich. There was a good attendance of members. Apologies were received from Mesdames Hatch, Thomas and Jones. The election of officers resulted:— President, Mrs E. J. Rich; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames S. Mawley, L. B. Maunsell, Birch, Denboc, Hutch, Andrew and Jaine; secretary, Mrs J. M. Aikrnan; afternoon tea secretary, Mrs Carpenter; buying committee, Mesdames Hatch, Clarke, and Carpenter; social Mesdames Jaine, Burke, and Kent-Johnston; wool secretary, Mrs Lawrence. J The Guild is to resume its activities on Thursday, April 23, at 2.30 p.m. The membership fee was fixed at 2s 6d yearly. Mrs Rich welcomed several new members.
